Product Description
In this three hour class, we discuss the different styles of knitting and focus on the Norwegian way of knitting and purling. Norwegian knitting is an ergonomic way to knit. It uses less hand and arm movement, so it is also quicker. It is especially good for ribbing as you do not move the yarn back and forth. It stays in the back of the work at all times. Come and join us having some fun learning this new technique.
Homework:
With a worsted or DK weight yarn, and the appropriate size needles for the yarn, cast on 30 stitches and knit 6 rows in garter stitch. Then knit 6 rows in stockinette and leave on the needles.
This class is taught by Judy Rising. The class runs from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, March 23rd at LoftyFiber. The fee $40.00 and fee must be paid in advance to reserve your spot.
