The Louet Jane is offered in four weaving widths, 40cm (15 3/4”), 50cm (19.7"), 70cm (27 5/8”) or 90cm (35 5/8"). Louet is discontinuing the non-expandable and Jane 40 looms, we have a few left. Expandable looms come with 8 shafts, and may be upgraded to 16-shafts.
Expandable 8-shaft Jane looms come with 400 heddles on the 50cm, and 600 on the 70cm. The 16-shaft looms come with 800 heddles on the 50cm and 1200 on the 70cm and also come with a Louet Shuttle Race. The race is available for purchase for the 8-shaft looms.
Jane looms also come with 2 lease sticks, 2 apron bars, and 16 warping separator sticks. The Jane 40 and 50 looms have a leather carrying handle.
Jane is made of lacquered beech and has a built-in raddle. We also offer raddle covers as well as our larger LoftyFiber raddle that snaps onto the built-in raddle when using dense warps.
A discounted TempoTreadle sensor array is available with purchase. Jane is delivered partially unassembled with instructions to complete the assembly and add the texsolv heddles. Expect assembly to take a few hours. We also offer assembly as an option, but no shipping is offered on the assembled loom. Contact us if you want to discuss a pick-up for an assembled Jane and perhaps take a class at our studio learning to weave with your new Jane.
We offer LoftyFiber Helping Hands and LoftyFiber Raddles that clip onto the existing built-in raddle.
