Product Description
In the last class, we explored mitered squares and how to join them as you
knit. This class will use scallops instead of mitered squares.
Supplies: Several scrap balls of yarn in different colors and a knitting needle that is the appropriate size for your yarn. I would recommend worsted or DK as it is easier to see your stitches, but if you have a lot of leftover sock yarns and want to use that, you can.
Several locking and regular stitch markers. Tapestry needle to weave in end.
Homework: Loosely, cast of 20 stitches.
Row 1: Slip the first stitch purl wise and knit to the last 2 stitches and knit
these 2 stitches together.
Repeat this row until you have 3 stitches left.
On the next row, slip the first stitch, k2tog and pass the slip stitch over. Next
row, knit 2tog, cut your yarn leaving a tail for weaving in and pull the yarn
through the last stitch to fasten off.
MAKE THREE OF THESE SCALLOPS IN THE SAME COLOR, AND
BRING TO CLASS
This class is taught by Judy Rising. The class runs from 10am to 1pm on S Friday April 24th at LoftyFiber. The fee $40.00 and fee must be paid in advance to reserve your spot.
