Product Description

This bread bag is woven as a tube with Euroflax 14/2 linen.   The pattern covers weaving the tube and casing, as well as an optional Inkle woven band for the tie.  This was inspired by a Handwoven published pattern, a Baker's Bread Bag, in the March/April 2015 issue. 

A quick project that would make a wonderful gift for a baker.  If you’ve never woven with linen and never tried double weave, here’s your chance to do both!

Rated: Beginner to Intermediate

Kit Makes: 2 or 4 bags (2 or 3-yard warp version), finished size 16” x 12”

Structure: Tubular Double Weave Twill

Equipment: 8-Shaft loom; 10-dent reed min width 15”, one shuttle, 2 bobbins, 71 heddles per shaft

Sett: 40 epi 40 ppi (20 per layer) 

Choose either the 2 or 3-yard kit. The printed pattern is included and a download linke for the pattern PDF and WIF files is provided. There is an option for "choose your colors" where you can let us know (order notes or email) what colors you want for the primary and stripe colors.

2 Bread Bags (2 yard warp) 12 ounces Base Color (shown in Cream) and 2 ounces  stripe color (shown in French Blue)

4 Bread Bags (3 yard warp) 18 ounces Base Color and 3 ounces Stripe Color
