Ashford Rigid Heddle Looms
Ashford of New Zealand makes a wonderful rigid heddle loom! The rigid heddle loom, available in multiple widths, comes with a 7.5 dpi rigid heddle, 2 natural stick shuttles, a nylon threading hook, warping peg and clamp and a booklet showing how to warp and weave with your loom. Assembly is required and comes with instructions. YouTube videos for assembly as well as warping and weaving are available from Ashford. These rigid heddle looms come with a built-in second heddle option for double width fabrics or more complex patterns. Holes on the bottom of the loom allow you to add pegs (sold separately) for indirect warping.
The loom is made from silver beech hardwood and is available in weaving widths 40, 60, 80 and 120cm (16, 24, 32 and 48 ins).
Additional reeds available are 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15dpi (10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60/10cm) so you can weave fine to textured yarns.
