Check out our new yarn kit in Euroflax 14/2 for a cram and dent scarf. This is plain weave and it's really fun to do! There are basically three setts in this pattern. You have an open, very open and a crammed set. The PDF guides you through how to sley this in the reed as well as how to beat it. https://loftyfiber.com/products/euroflax-cram-and-dent-scarf-yarn-kit The yarn kit has several color combinations. This one is the Eggplant, Straw and Limestone.
New Invention! Louet Raddle Caps

I love the built in raddle on Louet looms, but some threads, especially linen, have a tendency to pop out when spreading the warp. Our new raddle caps are awesome! The raddle caps are 6 inches long and 3D printed using a clear filament. The caps easily pop on and off the raddle over top of the warp ends. They lightly fit around the top of the raddle so that the raddle cap can slide over the warp ends. In addition to keeping the warp ends in place, you now have a solid surface to rest your warp chain. Bread Bag Kit with Euroflax Linen
Posted by Dawne Wimbrow on
Inspired by the recent post by Handwoven, featuring a free linen bread bag, we've developed a kit in Euroflax 14/2. I recently made 4 breadbags and this weekend put them to good use with some homemade sourdough loaves! The pattern and WIF files are free: https://loftyfiber.com/collections/weaving-patterns/products/handwoven-linen-bread-bag The kit is available in either a 2 or 3-yard warp. The 2-yard warp will yield 2 bread bags and the 3-yard kit 4 bags. The yarn kits are priced at $69 and $99 respectively: https://loftyfiber.com/products/handwoven-linen-bread-bag-yarn-kit
Add some Bling to your Projects!

I'm normally not a "bling" person, but this very thin metallic yarn is so fun I love using it. It comes in great colors. Here are some ideas: Knit or crochet it together with your primary yarn Spin it along with your roving. Ply it together with your handspun. Brush some in on your blending board Wind it into your warp chain along with your warp yarn (it's so thin it shouldn't change the sett) Wind it on your shuttle together with your weft yarn.
Louet Spring Loom - Tie-Up Cords get Caught?
Posted by Dawne Wimbrow on
If you have a Louet Spring Loom, you may have had the tie-up cords inadvertently catch on another screw while weaving. Prevent this from happening again by installing these handy covers after you complete your tie-up! https://loftyfiber.com/products/louet-spring-treadle-tie-up-covers
